Playoff Parties! Where to Go to Watch the New England Patriots
Professor Thom’s: It’s January and that means it’s prime season for Patriot fans as New England rolls into the AFC Championship for the 7th straight season. During this incredible run, Professor Thom’s hat has been the official home for all New York dwelling Pats die-hards. Professor Thom’s 2 floors are packed to the brim every Sunday and provide a New England atmosphere matched by no bar in the city. It’s so loud and electric that you may rather pull up a bar seat at Prof. Thom’s as opposed to heading up to Foxboro. One of the negatives about sports watching in a packed bar is sometimes your TV view is obstructed. Professor Thom’s eliminates that hassle by having monitors in every booth, along with projectors and flat screens covering every wall. However, with the popularity of Professor Thom’s and the magnitude of a Super Bowl trip on the line, you will have to get to Prof. Thom’s at around 1 pm if you want a guaranteed seat. Seat or not, you will not want to leave once you’re inside. You can call ahead to put a deposit down to reserve a table as well.
Tir na Nog: If you’re a Pats Fan on the west side of the city, then Tir na Nog is the place to be this Sunday. Tir na Nog is a high ceiling roomy bar boasting a giant projection screen, 16 HD television screens, and a state-of-the-art Bose sound system that is thoughtfully arranged for fans to enjoy every Patriots big play. Bring your appetite too as Tir na Nog has several distinct Irish and European dishes. Get comfy at the massive 45-foot bar snaking from front to rear to cheer on Brady and the Pats as they try to go to get back to the Super Bowl.
