Welcome Week 2018 in NYC
Updated: Aug 31, 2018
Labor Day is right around the corner. The days are starting to get shorter. Campus syllabi are already being prepared, and department stores in N.Y.C. are already promoting their “Back to School” specials. All of this can only mean one thing: Summer is coming to an end. It feels odd to say, but it’s true. So long to beach chairs, and hello to backpacks, because the school year is right around the corner.
If you are still not ready to accept the fast approach of the school year, fear not! The BarCard team has some good news for those college students getting ready to kick off their Fall Semesters in the city with the kickoff of N.Y.C. Welcome Week 2018.
“What is Welcome Week?” It’s a chance to experience New York without having to worry about class the next day! 8 events spanning the length of a week helping students get acquainted to the city without the stress of waking up for class in the morning.
“Who goes to Welcome Week?” Over 10,000 of your new classmates from NYU, FIT, LIM, PACE, PRATT, NYIT, SVA, NYU POLY, NEW SCHOOL / PARSONS, COLUMBIA, BARNARD, JUILLIARD, MARYMOUNT MANHATTAN, MANHATTAN COLLEGE, FORDHAM, ST JOHNS, COOPER UNION, HUNTER, & BARUCH!
“When is Welcome Week?” N.Y.C. Welcome Week takes place from August 26th – September 2nd. For the schools whose move-in dates are earlier, there are 3 Pre-Welcome Week parties the week prior.
For the new Freshmen starting their first year of college, all the way to returning Seniors, N.Y.C. Welcome Week assists in making the transition from Summer to School a little bit easier. From Yacht Parties, to Raves, to “Dress to Impress” Gatsby Parties, Welcome Week showcases all the fun N.Y.C. has to offer at some of New York’s best nightclubs!
